Why I chose to run unaffiliated?

I chose to register as “unaffiliated” because I believe a nonpartisan governing school board creates space for open dialogue, thoughtful debate, and sound decision-making.

My primary reason for running is to advocate for our students, support our educators, and strengthen parent and community partnerships. Adopting a partisan label can predetermine positions and perspectives.

My promise and my commitment is to hear from all stakeholders and to make decisions based on what is best for our district. HSE has excelled in many ways and that is because our community has always rallied for the success of our schools. Our students are the future.

By affiliating with any party and accepting endorsements from any party, this conflicts with my commitment to hearing from all stakeholders and making decisions based on what is best for our district.

Any party affiliation will compromise the independent leadership our schools need to thrive. I choose to put people over politics so that our focus remains exactly where it belongs: on the education, safety, and success of every HSE student.

I am running to serve our kids, not a political platform, and I pledge to keep our school board focused entirely on educational excellence.
